DENMARK: New substances under control (03/04/2007)
On the recommendation of The National Board of Health, the Danish Minister for the Interior and Health has decided to add the following substances to the Danish list of controlled substances: * 2C-E (4-ethyl-2,5-dimethoxyphenethylamin) * 2C-P (2,5-dimethoxy-4-propylphenethylamin) * DOC (4-chlor-2,5-dimethoxyamphetamin) * DOI (4-iod-2,5-dimethoxyamphetamin) Pursuant to the Commission on Narcotic Drugs' recent decision to include the substance oripavine in Schedule I of the 1961 Convention, the Minister for the Interior and Health has also decided to add this substance to the Danish list of controlled substances. On 28 March, the Minister has signed the Executive Order amending the Executive Order on Euphoriant Substances which will enter into force on 8 April 2007. Subsequently, 2C-E, 2C-P, DOC, DOI and oripavine may only be used for medical or scientific purposes. As soon as possible, the Executive Order will be entered into the ELDD legal text section.
